The team behind Oneshot

Language
without
borders.

A patient who speaks French deserves the same diagnosis as a patient who speaks English. We built Oneshot to make sure they get it.

Foundation

We exist to connect
people across
language.

OneShot combines purpose-built AI interpretation with a network of ATA-certified human interpreters, so every clinical moment is covered, whether it needs speed or nuance.

Why we started

Too many people struggle when language gets in the way.

In emergency rooms, classrooms, and courtrooms, the wrong word at the wrong moment changes lives. We saw it. We refused to accept it.

How we work

We translate meaning, not just words.

Cultural context, clinical vocabulary, and human nuance are built into every layer of the system. Accuracy without understanding isn't accuracy at all.

Oneshot from lived

Samuel founded Oneshot while completing his Master of International Development Administration at Western Michigan University. He launched the company after watching multilingual communities in Michigan struggle to access healthcare, education, and public services.

Origin · Haiti

Before Oneshot, he helped bring clean drinking water to 18,000 families through community development work. He understands what it means when systems fail people.

Education · Michigan

Master of International Development Administration, Western Michigan University, 2026. Founded Oneshot in XXXX.

Oneshot AI handles the volume: the thousands of routine interactions that happen every day where speed and availability matter most. Certified human interpreters handle the moments that require presence, nuance, or certified accuracy: surgical consent, behavioral health disclosures, complex treatment decisions. The two services are designed to complement each other, not compete. When the AI encounters a situation that calls for a human, it prompts you to connect with one, in-app. When a health system needs document translation or on-site interpretation, the human services are there. The goal in both cases is the same: no patient goes ununderstood.
